& Influence Style Indicator™

Change Style Indicator® measures an individual's preferred style in approaching and addressing change, while Influence Style Indicator™ measure's an individual's preferred style as they influence others.

Both are designed to help individuals for a leader role in managing and influencing their team.

About Change Style Indicator®

The Change Style Indicator is designed to measure an individual’s style preferences in approaching and addressing change. It is a leadership assessment that provides leaders of all levels with insights on personal preferences for managing through change and provides context for how those around them might perceive and respond to their preferred style. This assessments will provide insights and knowledges on both initiated and opposed change and places the respondent on a continuum between:

  • Conserver: prefers the known to the unknown
  • Pragmatist: prefers to explore the current situation in an objective manner
  • Originator: prefers a faster and more radical approach to change

With the Change Style Indicator, leaders will:

  • Learn about three unique styles for dealing with change
  • Discover their personal position on the continuum of change style preferences
  • Learn how a preferred style affects how others perceive an individual and how a style influences the perceptions of others
  • Explore the advantages and strengths that each style offers in a team effort
  • Improve interpersonal communication and understanding
  • Avoid conflicts and reduce unproductive meeting time
  • Realize the value of all perspectives when resolving issues
  • Enable the group’s creativity, collaboration, and innovation
  • Increase teamwork and cooperation

About Influence Style Indicator™

The Influence Style Indicator is an assessment instrument designed to understand an individual's preferred style as they influence others. The assessment addresses one’s preferred, secondary, and underutilized influencing styles.

Outcomes:

  • Learn more about the two primary orientations: Advocating - Individuals put forward ideas and offer logical and rational reasons to convince others of their point of view; Uniting - Individuals advocate for their position by encouraging others with a sense of shared mission and exciting possibilities
  • Learn about five unique influencing styles: Rationalizing, Asserting, Negotiating, Inspiring and Bridging
  • Understand when each influencing style is best used and what the potential pitfalls may be
  • Improve the ability to connect with others using a variety of influencing styles Be able to identify others’ preferred style

With the Influence Style Indicator, leaders will:

  • Examine what their chosen influence style looks like to others
  • Determine best opportunities to flex their style to address a variety of situations
  • Improve their ability to connect with others using a variety of influencing styles
  • Investigate how timing and discretion are important considerations in influencing
  • Reach an understanding of how influencing styles can impact organizational decision making
  • Be able to identify others’ preferred styles
